The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is a non-vested entity that has established the International Standard for Coach Training Excellence. Because they do not, as an organization, offer their own training school, they can impartially evaluate the training provided by other Coach Training Institutions.

ICF offers three levels of Coach Certification:

  • Associate Coach Certification (ACC)
  • Professional Coach Certification (PCC)
  • Master Coach Certification (MCC)

There are about 34 separate institutions that provide Coach Training. Most of these institutions provide their own level of Coach Certification.  As of October 2007, only seven of these institutions presently fulfill the Educational and Training Requirements to meet ICF Certification Standards.

The Colombia Partnership (TCP) fully meets the training requirements for ICF Certification.

Larry Baty has received his advanced training through TCP and is in process of fulfilling the additional practical requirements for ICF Coach Certification.

Larry is also a registered member of the ICF.

The ICF is a nonprofit, individual membership organization formed by professionals worldwide who practice business and personal coaching.

The ICF developed and promotes an industry-wide Code of Professional Standards.  ICF also developed the first universally accepted Accreditation process which will preserve the integrity of coaching through standardized credentials that will assist consumers in choosing professional coaches.
